Founded in Boston in 2007 by SU alumnus Bryan Person, SMB has grown to more than 50 chapters in cities across the United States and the world. As described by Bryan, SMB is an “event-and-networking series for teaching, sharing, and learning about industry best practices.” Essentially, SMB provides opportunities for social media practitioners and enthusiasts to come together and interact.

 SMB Syracuse is very community-focused. There is no membership fee, and activities are open to all. Some of our activities will be purely informal social gatherings; others will involve a speaker or panel. We are seeking sponsors for some of our breakfast events to offset cost of food; others will be buy-your-own.

 Our first SMB Syracuse event is Thursday, Feb. 28. It’s going to be a morning meetup from 7:30-9 a.m. at Lofo (http://www.lofosyracuse.com/), 214 Walton St. in Armory Square. We hope you can join us.
